In the latter years, London has shifted the local architecture with several landmarks with a singular eye-catching style that share some of the “modern Architecture” traits such as mix of metal and glass, reviewing the XIX Century glass houses with a very dramatic and contrasted graphic aspect, which draws a geometrical silhouette against the sky.
This tram proposal is born in the same mindset. With the bold vision of a product that is read as a connection, a bridge.
The exterior recreates graphically a connector, referring to the link between stations or line heads. Finishing with raw materials evoque the modern architecture and stands in high contrast when placed in the Victorian areas of the city. This proposal wants to attract the attention of the public and become a new symbol of modern London.
For the interior we have chosen a very classy and executive palette to attract the local travelers now that cars are not welcome in the city center. The different textures and geometries have the automotive scent mainly visible in the seats and the perceived quality in the atmosphere. Interior geometries are simplistic geometrical figures that match the exterior overall feel. Brutalism, urban style and mechanical are key to this design proposal as the feasible limits of roughed anti-vandalic interior.
